iPhone news and rumors Roundup from last week | More iPhone details, speculations and lots more

Hey folks, I am back, sorry couldn't update the site in the last few days as I was traveling. So this makes it the perfect time to do a roundup on the news, rumors and speculations from last week. Late last week we did have Apple announcing the official release date of the iPhone with the roll out of 3 iPhone ads.

Excerpts of all the news and rumors from last week after the jump.

iPhone Details from AT&T's Sales Training Workbook (9th June)

We've gotten copies of the full iPhone Training manual provided to AT&T employees that gives us a few more details about Apple's iPhone. Thanks to cindynjgirl79 for providing the scans. … The training manual is broken down into features …

How Big Will the iPhone Be?

The new must-have smartphone may be a $10 billion business and could send Apple shares even higher  —  Few stocks trade on emotion the way Apple Inc. does.  Its rip-roaring initial public offering in 1980 created the template for modern tech mania, while making Steve Jobs a gazillionaire.

Analyst: Apple to Sell 45M iPhones in '09

Apple's iPhone launch is only weeks away, and Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster is predicting that will signal the beginning of a skyrocketing climb leading to 45 million units sold in 2009.  For calendar year 2007, he expects Apple will sell 3.2 million units, and 12.4 million in 2008.

Another Apple iPhone TV Ad: Peek @ iPhone's Browser features

Starting Sunday we had the news of the release date of Apple's long and eagerly awaited iPhone with the rollout of 3 iPhone Ads, if those were not enough we had a spoof ad created by a fan based on 2001: A Space Odyssey. But that doesn't seem to be the end of the story, another Apple iPhone TV Ad (fourth official ad announcing the release date) has just surfaced on Apple's website.

AT&T hiring temps to control iPhone crowds at retail stores

Exclusive: Wireless carrier AT&T is taking no chances when it comes this month's Apple iPhone launch and is hiring temporary staff to manage, attend to, and control crowds at many of its 1800 retail stores nationwide.

Will the iPhone be undone by its keyboard?

For those in the audience enamored with the iPhone -- especially those willing to look past the lack of 3G and requisite 2-year service agreement -- there's really only one x-factor left: the touchscreen keyboard. We've all seen it done, but no one's ever seen it done right -- and Steve seems to think it's going to be off the chain.
