Late last week we did have Apple announcing the official release date of the iPhone with the roll out of 3 iPhone ads.

Analyst: Apple to Sell 45M iPhones in '09
Apple's iPhone launch is only weeks away, and Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster is predicting that will signal the beginning of a skyrocketing climb leading to 45 million units sold in 2009. For calendar year 2007, he expects Apple will sell 3.2 million units, and 12.4 million in 2008.
Another Apple iPhone TV Ad: Peek @ iPhone's Browser features
Starting Sunday we had the news of the release date of Apple's long and eagerly awaited iPhone with the rollout of 3 iPhone Ads, if those were not enough we had a spoof ad created by a fan based on 2001: A Space Odyssey. But that doesn't seem to be the end of the story, another Apple iPhone TV Ad (fourth official ad announcing the release date) has just surfaced on Apple's website.

We won't bother trying to number crunch how much coin Apple will be laying down if sources at Business Week are right about just how many iPhones will be available to thrill come June 29th, but Cupertino better hope this thing takes off a tad quicker than the iPod did in 2001.
