iPhone smoothie selling on Ebay for $455

We were calling it "iPhone madness", "iPhone frenzy" when people were bidding for an iPhone even before it was launched and in some cases even paying a reasonable premium on the store price. I wonder what you have to say about the auction which is currently going on at eBay for the blended iPhone or should we say the iPhone smoothie.

Curious to find out what the hell I am talking about read on.

I am sure most of you must have already seen the YouTube video where folks at BlendTec wanted an answer to a question: Will the iPhone blend? You will be surprised to know that they were not alone, there were upwards of 200k+ people who wanted to find out too (those many views of the video on YouTube alone up till now).

If you all thought that the folks at BlendTec spent $500 to $600 to get good publicity for their product (assuming here only the cost of the iPhone), you are wrong as the blended iPhone is currently being bid for $455 and guess what there have already been 32 bids for it with 9 days still to go for the auction. At this rate the winning bid will easily be for more than the store price of the iPhone.

Interestingly, the bid amount went up from $420 to $455 and from 29 to 32 bids by the time I started writing this post to the time I finished it. For more details on the auction at eBay, click here. Looks like the "iPhone madness" continues.
