Only yesterday, we had iPhone Hackers claiming to have gained full access to iPhone's filesystem though they are yet to release a tool to make it easier for the general iPhone users. So if you can't wait for the tool, you can buy iPhoneDrive which will help you transfer your data off the iPhone with ease and also copy music, pictures and other files on it.
Ecamm Network has announced the release of iPhoneDrive for Mac. iPhoneDrive which costs $9.95 is an application for OS X with a simple and easy to use interface which can be used to drag and drop files to and from the iPhone.
By letting you store files on your iPhone it enables you to use your iPhone to backup data or transfer between MACs. Let me caution you that iPhoneDrive will not give you full access to iPhone's filesystem like the iPhone hackers are claiming with iPhoneInterface. Also iPhoneDrive is currently only available for MAC and so PC users will have to wait.
So if you have already bought an iPhone and wanted to use it as a flash drive and have a MAC, here is a cool iPhone application for you. There is also a demo version available for you to test drive.
I wish Apple had gone for a 8 GB and 16 GB (or even larger) iPhone models to make it big enough to be used for backup (as a flash drive) as with a 4GB model I wonder how much space you will have left to use for backup with all your songs and videos.
