iPhone Application: eBuddy brings multi-network chat client to the iPhone

iPhone Games

eBuddy is an web messenger for MSN, Yahoo and AIM (AOL). With eBuddy you can chat online, everywhere anytime and is available as a web based and mobile version. They have recently announced the availability of this advanced web-based multi network chat client for the iPhone.

We already have quiet a few companies trying to take advantage of the missing functionality in the iPhone by introducing iPhone version of their instant messaging products. We had Cerulean Studios announcing that they are looking to unlock iPhone's instant messaging functionality by launching Trillian Astra, we then had Next3 launching their own instant messaging client, FlickIM which has got some very good reviews by users and we now have eBuddy announcing alpha version of their iPhone version as they don't want to be left out.

As mentioned earlier eBuddy like Trillian Astra is a multi network chat client for MSN, Yahoo and AIM(AOL). The user interface as can be seen from the screen shot above looks quite good.

The iPhone version of eBuddy includes a series of interface changes, customizable fonts, contact list scrolling in addition to the usual text styling and the all-too-handy tabbed chatting, eBuddy thus bring a powerful chatting experience to the iPhone.

Just point your iPhone to eBuddy and you will be sent to a special landing page for the iPhone.

It is important to note here that the iPhone instant messaging application is marked as ALPHA quality and folks at Tuaw have reported some page loading related performance issues even when they were on a Wi-Fi network.

If you are planning to try this out on your iPhone do share your experience here.
