iPhone Hackers release New & Improved Installer App v3.0

If you have been keeping a close watch on developments in the iPhone hacking space you would have heard of the cool Installer.app ~~or AppTap~~ iPhone application which simplifies application management, i.e. installation and uninstallation of unauthorized third-party iPhone applications on your iPhone over Wi-Fi.

Nullriver, the iPhone hackers who have developed this killer iPhone Application have just launched Installer.app v3.0 beta3 with many improvements over the previous version.

If you are not willing to wait till Feb for Apple to launch their SDK, after which you will start seeing the native iPhone applications coming to the iPhone officially, then one of the things you could do to make it easier to install third-party iPhone applications is to first install Installer.app on your iPhone.

Nullriver, the developers of the Installer.app iPhone Application have just launched the new and improved version v3.0 beta3 which includes the following features:

Redesigned UI as can be seen in the screenshot below.
Collapsed groups on the install page to make avoid the endless scrolling that was required in the previous version along with “Recents” category on the Install page, for “Today”, “Yesterday” and “Older” to make it that much more easier to find out the most recent third-party iPhone app.
Ability to easily add/remove Sources.
Ability to easily install all available updates so that you don't need to go through the tedious process of checking updates for each application at a time.
The other nice bit of touch in the latest version has been the ability of the iPhone application to detect the firmware your device is running, so it displays only those apps that will run on your iPhone OS.

If you have iPhone running OS v1.1.1, then you will have to jailbreak first and then transfer the app manually.

Update: Nullriver is yet to release a version of AppTapp which works with iPhone OS v1.1.1, AppTap is the GUI-based program that helps you install Installer.app by jailbreaking the iPhone which is available for both Windows and Mac users.
