Step-by-Step Instructions to Downgrade iPhone Firmware from v1.1.2 to v1.1.1 Published

If you had not read my article All That You Need to Know Before You Update to iPhone Firmware v1.1.2 and are regretting about upgrading your iPhone firmware v1.1.2, then here is some good news.
The good folks @ Hackintosh forums, have posted instructions so that you can downgrade your iPhone firmware from v1.1.2 to v1.1.1. In fact this will also be useful to all those new iPhone owners in UK and Germany who want to join the iPhone hacking world for the cool third party iPhone Applications they have been hearing about for the last few months since its launch in US.
If you had read the instructions to upgrade to the latest firmware then you will notice that the steps to downgrade are quite similar, you first need to download the firmware v1.1.1 ipsw restore file, then follow three relatively simple steps to downgrade to v1.1.1. Once the firmware is downgraded to v1.1.1 you need to follow a couple of additional steps to re-activate your iPhone.
Apparently the not-for-free iPhoneSIMFree's unlocking method does not work after using this downgrading method.
I guess these are still initial days post the firmware update and I would recommend that you wait for a few more days to find out the issues before trying it out.
However, if you are the adventurous type and are going to try it out, check out the step-by-step instructions at this link.
As always don't forget to let us know if it worked for you in the comments.
Update:
Shawn Korin, one of the readers here @ iPhone Hacks has commented "It seems that the new baseband will not work on 1.1.1, and since it doesn't seem that 1.1.2 can be jailbreaked or activated, those of you who upgraded to 1.1.2 and now have bricks (or semi-bricks if you downgraded to 1.1.1 and can not use phone functions) will have to restore the baseband." He then goes on to provide detail instructions to downgrade the baseband.
The instructions are not for the technically inclined but if you are keen on reverting back to firmware v1.1.1 you should find them useful. I haven't tried it out so can't confirm it either way, but if you do please do let us know. You will find the instructions in the comments or by simply following this link. Thanks Shawn!
