iPhone Firmware v1.1.2 is Officially Released via iTunes

When I had written the article on iPhone's latest firmware v1.1.2 it did not appear as though it was officially released as when iPhone users clicked on "Check for Update" button in iTunes, they got a message informing them that "This version of iPhone software (1.1.1) is the current version".

However, not any more as on Monday night, Apple had finally made the latest iPhone firmware v1.1.2 available via iTunes so you no longer need to download the file and use the manual procedure to update to the latest firmware.

Here is the link to Apple's website which lists down some details of the latest firmware with the most visible bug fixed is the TIFF exploit which was used to JailBreak iPhone firmware v1.1.1.

In case you have just joined the iPhone community or a new reader here at iPhone Hacks, here is the article which first announced the news of iPhone firmware v1.1.2 release and then a follow up article which explains All That You Need to Know Before You Update to iPhone Firmware which if you have hacked or unlocked your iPhone will find useful in deciding whether or not to update to the latest firmware.

Its still a mistery as to why Apple waited this long to release it officially, folks any thoughts?
