One of the coolest features of the iPhone has to be Cover Flow, which displays your music collection in an easy-to-navigate interface mimicking the way you flip through CDs or DVDs. Apple was spot-on when they said "If a picture says a thousand words, think of what all the album art in your collection might say."
Erica Sadun, now an iPhone hacking Legend has taken inspiration from this and created a new Application Launcher with cover flow interface to navigate through your iPhone Applications. The latest native iPhone Application is aptly named AppFlow.
Erica seems to have taken clues on how the cover flow works in the iPhone from Kevin Brosius's work who apparently was the first to have figured out how to use Apple’s slick Cover Flow technology. He had this to say:
“You can display a number of images (look at the setImage: calls.) At the moment this just displays four fixed images supplied with the demo.”
Erica Sadun's AppFlow application thus makes use of the cover flow technology to display the icons of all your the iPhone applications like your music album artwork. To use, just flip to your favorite application (arranged in an alphabetical order) and double-tap the icon to launch the application.
AppFlow currently does not include the Webclips on your home screen in the collection of applications you can flip through as apparently they are launched in a completely different way.
You will however need a jailbroken iPhone to install AppFlow. AppFlow is currently not available in the Installer app, so you can get it from Erica's blog.
You can check out the video demonstration of the Appflow native iPhone application in action below:
As always do let us know your feedback on the latest iPhone application in the comments.
Update:
iPhone Hacks reader, QuadeP, has provided a tip in the comment that AppFlop is now available in the Installer app which is good news. You first need to jailbreak your iPhone to allow third-party applications to be installed. You can check out the Simpler method to JailBreak iPhone firmware 1.1.3 for more details as it also installs the very cool installer App which will make installing the AppFlow app on your iPhone a lot easier.
Thanks QuadeP for the tip!

Appflow is available in installer if that makes it easier for some people.
I installed this a few weeks ago on my jailbroken 1.1.2 iphone and though i could coverflow through the apps there seemed no way to launch an app from it..
double tab the app, it should open it. It does in 1.1.3 anyway.
Very curious as to what the cool metalic background is on that iphone displayed in the video clip. anyone know?
how do you install this program
Hey iPhone Hacks, the second link to Zibri's file still doesn't seem to be working – any help?
I checked out their website, and downloaded their unlocking tool, ZiPhoneOSX, would that be the file?
Sorry for posting again, I just wanted to clarify that this post was directed to the steps for jailbreaking 1.1.3, I posted in the wrong page, my bad :S
