iPhone Rumors: 3G iPhone Photos

There have been quite a few photos claiming to be those of the soon-to-be-released 3G iPhone.

Since the launch of the next generation iPhone is speculated to be as early as next week by Steve Jobs at the WWDC 2008 Keynote I thought it was about time to join the rumor mill and get your reactions on the 3G iPhone photos.

The rumor mill has been working overtime with regards to 3G iPhone which is imminent.

It all started with iPodObserver posting an image (seen below) of what they claimed was the 3G iPhone but was later revealed to be nothing more than a 3rd party "protection case" for the iPhone.

We then had another set of leaked photos of the next generation iPhone posted by iPhoneClub.nl which depict a white iPhone with a curved back just like the ones seen with the initial rumor.

Then last week MacNN published photos from iDealsChina claiming to be case moldings from Griffin Technology for the upcoming 3G-capable iPhone. The photos of the moldings again revealed the same tapered shape like the earlier two rumors.

We also had a company called XSKN that had revealed a case design of the 3G iPhone as can be seen below (in comparison to the original iPhone case).

And today another photo of the 3G iPhone was revealed by JSN1 a respected member of the “Hackintosh” forums who claims to have taken it at the 5th Avenue Apple Store in Manhattan where apparently the ad for the new iPhone was being sot. As you can see from the screenshot below.

Frankly, I would like to see Apple launch a radically different iPhone rather than just a simple facelift with a more features (it reminds me of a car company trying to extend the life of a model with facelifts and new engine).

I would also be surprised to see just one iPhone model (and that too with just a facelight) as in my opinion if you building a mobile phone business, having just one model not only seems too limited but also too risky.

So what do you think?
