iPhone 3D Game - Cybersaurus released

iPhone 3D Game - Cybersaurus

Roberto Perego of Darxun Games has released Cybersaurus, a 3D mobile Mech-style shooter game for the iPhone.

Its good to finally write about a native iPhone app as things on the iPhone hacking front seems to have slowed down quite a bit with the launch of the official native iPhone apps via Apple's Appstore just round the corner.

Roberto Perego of Darxun Games (a one developer company as of now) has ported their 3D mobile Mech-style shooter, Cybersaurus to the iPhone. The game makes use of iPhone's accelerometers and uses on-screen button controls for moving around, selecting weapons, and firing.

Roberto says the game is an ultimate mix between a 3D shooter and an adventure game where you can explore 6 stunning planets (11 maps fully 3D) with outstanding backgrounds. Your mission is to navigate through the solar systems using the interactive 3D map and destroy the robosaurs.

Some of the features of the 3D iPhone game are:
    * 11 full 3D levels, 6 different planets and environments
    * 3D engine with “astonishing” lighting system
    * 3D audio engine
    * Full 3D animations
    * Different characters–every enemy has different AI
    * Adventure gameplay style

The in-game graphics look quite neat, Roberto is also planning to enhance the game in a few weeks by making use of iPhone's 3D hardware acceleration and improve the framerate.

You can checkout the video clip of the 3D game running on the iPhone below:

If you want to play this native iPhone game then you will need a jailbroken iPhone. You can check out one of these iPhone software to jailbreak your iPhone: ZiPhone 3.0 - New version of Popular tool to JailBreak and Unlock iPhone or iLiberty: Easy to use Application to JailBreak, Activate and Unlock iPhone. As part of the jailbreaking process ZiPhone or Liberty will also install the Installer App.

Before hacking your iPhone it is a good idea to take a backup of your iPhone so you can restore it.

To install the native iPhone game via the Installer you need to add its software repository to the Installer app. Here are the simple steps that you need to follow to achieve this:

  • Launch the Installer app by tapping its icon on your iPhone's home screen.
  • Tap “Sources” button.
  • Then tap “Edit” in the upper-right corner.
  • And tap “Add” in the upper-left corner.
  • Enter the URL of IntelliScreen source: www. iphone3dgames.com
  • Press “OK”
  • Installer app will add the source, and you will be able to find Cybersaurus in the normal “Install” menu under the Games category.

If you have checked it out please do give your feedback on the 3D shooter and adventure game for the iPhone in the comments below.
