iPhone Tip: Hold ".com" button in address bar or period button in Compose email screen for a second

If you have upgraded to iPhone firmware 2.0 or have bought Apple's new iPhone 3G then here is an interesting iPhone Tip you can check out, spotted by Cory Bohon over at TUAW.

When you type a website URL in the address bar, you can now hold down the ".com" button to get a selection of 3 other domain name endings: ".net," ".edu," and ".org" and tap on any of the endings to insert them in the address bar.

You should also get ".net," ".edu," and ".org." domain name endings along with ".com" by holding down the period button in the compose email screen.

Another reason why iPhone's virtual keyboard is revolutionary, with a firmware update Apple was able to introduce a simple but neat feature.
