iPhone App - MagicPad's Copy & Paste Feature

We have been waiting for Apple to introduce the Copy and Paste feature in iPhone which has surprisingly been missing since the launch of the first generation iPhone.

We are missing it so much that we still get excited (even after many false hopes) when we hear some news or rumors which hint that Copy and Paste feature could be coming to the iPhone in the next firmware release.

MagicPad is text editor app for the iPhone and is yet to be released. But what's interesting is, MagicPad's developers have implemented their own Copy and Paste feature which looks quite good.

Apple Seeds Developers with 2nd Beta of iPhone firmware 2.1

Apple has just seeded developers of iPhone's Developer program with a second beta version of iPhone SDK 2.1. As seen in the release notes below, it appears that the new version fixes several bugs in iPhone firmware.

"This is the second beta of the iPhone SDK targeting iPhone OS 2.1, including bug fixes to iPhone OS as well as an early implementation of the Apple Push Notification Service API. This API is not yet integrated with a live push server."

Apple had released the first beta version of iPhone firmware 2.1 only last week which hinted of the much-awaited Copy & Paste and Turn-by-Turn GPS feature.

Apple Releases iTunes 7.7.1 Update to Improve Stability and Performance

Apple has just released the latest version of iTunes (7.7.1) which is available through Apple's Software update.

Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home — a free download from the App Store.

iTunes 7.7.1 includes fixes to improve stability and performance.

You can download iTunes 7.7.1 by opening iTunes (using Help Menu > Check for Updates) or launching Software Update.

Let us know if the latest iTunes update has resolved any issue that you might be facing.

iPhone 3G's Developing Cracks?

There have been some reports along with photos saying that cracks are developing on white iPhone 3G's.

If you see the photos after the jump, the damage seems to be mostly hairline cracks.

NES App v2.3.0: Nintendo Emulator for iPhone now includes Accelerometer support

ZdZiarski has just released an updated version (v2.3.0) of the popular NES app: Nintendo Emulator for iPhone with accelerometer support.

NES app was one of the first native applications developed for the jailbroken iPhone. It emulates the hardware in a Nintendo Entertainment System, allowing you to play games such as Mario Bros., Bomberman on your iPhone.

iPhone App Store Apps Hacked - Is it Good News?

A group of hackers claim to have hacked Apple's DRM on Sega's Super Money Ball for the iPhone and many more iPhone games.

I must admit I never saw this coming as Apple's FairPlay DRM has been used for so many years to protect content sold on iTunes stores.

Breaking News: iPhone Dev Team Downgrade iPhone 3G's Modem Firmware

The iPhone Dev Team has just published a post claiming that they have been able to downgrade iPhone 3G's modem firmware to an older beta firmware version.

They haven't unlocked iPhone 3G so far, but the latest news gives an indication on the progress they are making hacking iPhone 3G's baseband.
