Apple Releases 3 New iPhone Ads

Apple has released three new ads to demonstrate the use of the iPhone App Store on their website recently.

They might not be newsworthy, but if you a have a few minutes to spare, then can check them out after the jump.

Lonely Planet:

The "Lonely Planet" Ad demonstrates downloading Lonely Planet's Mandarin Mobile Phrasebook to learn how to ask for a restaurant recommendation.

Cro Mag:

The "Cro Mag" ad demonstrates downloading Pangea Software's Cro-Mag Rally iPhone game and the use of the iPhone's accelerometer for game control.

Vicinity:

The "Vicinity" ad demonstrates downloading ActiveGuru's Vicinity which helps in finding a nearby café along with directions.

The latest ads which demonstrates how to use the App Store and shows iPhone apps being downloaded and installed over-the-air really fast in the latest ads has not generated any controversy (thankfully) like Apple's last ad which talked about how you can do most things on the internet "twice as fast" with iPhone 3G as in comparison to the first generation iPhone which had generated quite a bit of controversy in the blogosphere with some folks complaining that the ad was misleading, and that it sets wrong expectations.

Brumi, one of the readers here at iPhone Hacks had highlighted two great points that were made during the debate (here) on whether Apple was trying to mislead us with the ad. Those were:

"A) Consumers are aware that commercials are not "real". A typical fast food or beer commercial exemplifies this.
B) Most commercials are usually limited to 30 second spots, so filming 'real-time' is pointless.
"

I agree. What do you think of the new iPhone ads?
