Apple Approves CastCatcher Version Update (v1.3)

We had reported last week that Return 7's CastCatcher, the Internet Radio app that streams shoutcast streams directly to your iPhone had got rejected by Apple due to excessive bandwidth consumption over cellular network.
We have good news, Return 7 reports that Apple has now approved their update to CastCatcher.
CastCatcher v1.3 which the iPhone developer had claimed did not burden cellular networks any more than any other radio applications that are available on the App Store had got rejected due to excessive bandwidth.
As per CastCatcher 1.3 release notes, the version update is expected to fix some bugs along with some additional features:
- Adjustable buffer size (see Preferences on your iPhone)
- Experimental AAC+ support (works w/ 2.0.2 but not 2.1 - bug report filed w/ Apple for assistance - this feature is NOT supported)
- Minor fix around Icecast metadata
- Fixed crash on downloading invalid playlist files
Return 7 has published a one line post on their blog:
"Major thanks to Apple for approving CastCatcher 1.3."
It looks like Apple has not given the reason for approving the version update of the app.
The iPhone Developer had this to say over at Mac Rumors Forums:
"I wonder if it was just some sort of mistake, honestly. Regardless, we're happy and appreciate what they've done"
We tend to agree, there are tons of iPhone apps and their version updates that are being submitted to the App Store every day for approval and CastCatcher version update seems to have accidentally got rejected and thankfully Apple has rectified the error.
You can download the latest version by using this iTunes link.
