Have you heard a song on the radio that you liked and can't figure out the name of the
song or artist?
Last time we had posed this question, we had recommended that you can checkout Shazam, a song recognition application for the iPhone.
But what if you had
heard a song somewhere (which you can sing or hum) and you are trying to figure out the name and artist of the song?
Midomi, another iPhone app that can help you out in such situations. Midomi, from Melodis, is an alternative to Shazam
and probably the only iPhone application that allows you to search for music using your voice by
singing or humming.

We had reported that ZodTTD, the iPhone developer who had ported Quake to the jailbroken iPhone had announced that he had submitted his free iPhone app to Apple and
hoping to get an approval.
However, his effort seems to have run into trouble as id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead informed Touch Arcade that ZodTTD’s port would be illegal and will not be allowed in the App Store as it was not sanctioned by the company.
If you are a Quake fan and disappointed to hear that news then there is some ray of hope as another iPhone Developer, TMSOFT has also ported Quake to the iPhone. They are looking at options of licensing the game from id software and publishing it via the App Store.

If you remember, Apple's iPhone television ad that said "all the parts of the internet are on the phone" was banned by UK's Advertising watchdog
back in August as they got complaints from some customers claiming that it gave a
misleading impression of the internet capabilities of the iPhone.
It had also prompted Apple to change the wordings of the iPhone 3G ads in UK to say "really fast" instead of "twice as fast" to avoid running into trouble again with U.K.'s Advertising Standards Authority.
But it looks like that hasn't helped, as UK's Advertising watchdog has banned that ad as well after receiving 17 complaints that the commercial was "exaggerating the speed of iPhone 3G."
