iPhone 3G Now at Walmart Stores; But Best Buy Offering the Best Deal with a $10 Discount

Best Buy selling Apple's iPhone 3G for $10 discount

As we had reported, Apple's iPhone 3G is now available at Walmart stores for $2 less than the regular price with a two-year contract: $197 for the 8 GB iPhone 3G model, or $297 for the 16 GB iPhone model.

Interestingly Walmart is not giving the best deal on the iPhone, Best Buy is currently selling the iPhone 3G for a $10 discount with a price tag of $189.99 for the 8 GB iPhone 3G model and $289.99 for the 16 GB iPhone model.

Apple's iPhone 3G is now available at Walmart stores and is being prominently advertised on Walmart's website.

WalMart becomes the second independent retail chain after Best Buy to sell Apple's iPhone. It is also sold at Apple and AT&T retail stores.

Best Buy which was the first independent retail chain to sell Apple's iPhone 3G is currently selling an 8 GB iPhone 3G model for $189.99 and the 16 GB iPhone model for $289.99, a $10 discount for both the models than the regular price with a two-year contract and much cheaper than the discounted price that Walmart is offering. Though it actually translates into a $9.01 discount if you compare the price at Apple and AT&T retail stores.

OCRegister is reporting that in addition to the discount, customers who purchase an iPhone will get double Reward Zone Points (another $10 or so) and free e-mail set-up.
