Nam Chu Hoai, a young iPhone developer has just published a preview of his iPhone app called Nam's Remote which he plans to submit to the App Store pretty soon.
Nam's Remote will allow you to remotely control as many applications on both Mac and Windows using your iPhone.
Nam had developed an iPhone app during the firmware 1.x days when we did not have the iTunes App Store and the only way to develop or use a third-party app was to hack the iPhone.
The young iPhone developer had created the Maps Offline, jailbreak iPhone app during the iPhone firmware 1.x days which provided a way to manage the size of Maps' cache for offline browsing.
Nam's Remote is still in development but it already supports the following applications as per his website:
System:
Explorer(Windows), Finder(Mac), Touchpad, Numpad, Landscape Keyboard
Media:
Powerpoint, iPhoto, (Photoshop)
Media Players:
VLC, FrontRow, Windows Media Center, Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic
Other:
Gamepad, Steering Wheel
You can see the video of the iPhone app in action below, its quite impressive:
You can request support for any other application in case it is not already supported by dropping a line on Nam's website.
Let us know what you think about Nam's Remote.
