There was very little iPhone News at Apple's Keynote address at Macworld 2009 yesterday, however there is some interesting news on the iPhone apps front from the event.

Sling Media has announced that their iPhone app - SlingPlayer Mobile which we have been craving for is almost ready for prime time and that they will be submitting it to iPhone's App Store for approval soon.

Sling Media had given a brief demo of their pre-alpha proof-of-concept version of their iPhone app back in June 2008 on a jailbroken iPhone.

Their iPhone app is almost ready and they expect their streaming, place-shifted video to the iPhone to be available on the App Store in Q1 2009.

It looks quite impressive. We can't wait to get our hands on the iPhone app when it is released.
