TV.com’s iPhone App Allows to Stream Full Episodes of Popular TV Shows like CSI: Miami and Star Trek

TV.com's iPhone app

Video streaming site TV.com has just released their iPhone app on the App Store which will allow you (if you are in US) to stream clips and full episodes of popular TV shows like CSI: Miami or the original Star Trek right to your iPhone over Wi-Fi, 3G, or even EDGE connections.

In addition to shows on CBS, you can also watch shows from other channels such as CNet, Showtime, and the CW.

TV.com's iPhone app joins Joost that also features full episodes of TV shows. However, the great thing about TV.com's iPhone app is that you will be able to stream clips and full episodes of popular TV shows like CSI: Miami or the original Star Trek right to your iPhone over 3G, or EDGE connections in addition to Wi-Fi unlike Joost which works only over Wi-Fi.

As you can see from the screenshots below, the iPhone app is quite simple and intuitive to use, all you need to do is choose a channel, then the show and ultimately the clip you would like to watch.

I liked the way they have implemented the scrolling bar for the different channels at the top of the app. It would have been convenient if there was an option to filter between clips and full episodes.

You can download TV.com's iPhone app for free using this direct iTunes link. However, this iPhone app appears to be available only on the US App Store.

As always, let us know what do you think about TV.com's iPhone app. Will you be still looking forward to Hulu's iPhone app?

I set up an American iTunes account to get this (I'm in Australia) and I can confirm that it will work in other countries. Its not IP locked (thankfully). Its just a tad slower to load.

    even better is this:
http://3click.tv streams unlimited shows to your iPhone, no ads and ever series has complete seasons.. i.e. all 20 seasons of the simpson for example. There is a total of 13,000 episodes here and they add new ones as they come out daily.
The streams work well on iPhone, PC or Mac but I did notice that the 3G or wifi connection had to be quite good. Desktop connections were absolutely perfect and I have a relatively slow connection. Anyway, its the first site I have seen that has these iPhone streams, definately worth a look, heres a showlist: http://3click.tv/showlist.php
