Apple has seeded developers of their iPhone Developer Program with the fourth beta version of iPhone OS 3.0 which Apple had previewed in March. The new beta version has revealed some more details of iPhone OS 3.0.

Apple has also released a developer pre-release version of iTunes 8.2, which is required to activate the new beta. MacRumors reader has also discovered references to Blu-Ray data from Gracenote which indicates that iTunes could support Blu-Ray discs.

Business Week is reporting that two sources "familiar with the matter” have told them that Apple and Verizon are working on two new iPhone-like devices: one device is a smaller, less expensive version of the current iPhone and the other device termed as a media pad, which would let users listen to music, view photos, and watch high-definition videos and also allows users to make VoIP calls via Wi-Fi.

According to Business Week these new devices could come out as early as this year.

We have seen quite a few iPhone apps removed or banned from the App Store by Apple for reasons such as copyright issues, duplicating functionality, offering tethering functionality, based on limited utility, content or materials found objectionable, just a ridiculous app etc.

This time Apple has removed a controversial iPhone game called "Baby Shaker" that generated outrage as the animation in the game suggested that a player was silencing the baby by
murdering it as a proper shake caused two large red Xs to appear on
the baby's eyes.

Apple has also issued an apology for approving the iPhone game.

Folks at PreCentral have got their hands on a leaked internal AT&T memo that compares Apple's iPhone 3G with Palm Pre which is dubbed by many as an iPhone killer.

Based on the internal document it looks like Palm Pre which will be offered exclusive by rival Sprint has got AT&T worried. They had done a similar thing prior to the launch Blackberry Storm.

Based on couple of patent applications filed by Apple at US Patent Office, Mac Rumors believes that Apple's research team is working on how to further improve iPhone's user interface based on "User Movements".

Its quite interesting as it could mean that your iPhone might not need pressing of buttons for an action but might just need a simple ‘movement’.

The patent diagram also reveals a front-facing camera which could bring video chat possibilities in Apple's next generation iPhone.
