Boy Genius Report had published some screenshots from iPhone OS 3.0 which provide more details of the video recording feature, option to show remaining battery power in percentage, some more settings options and an accessibility entry.
BGR claims that they got these screenshots from one of their "trusted ninjas".
BGR source also gave them some additional details about iPhone OS 3.0:
- The final version of iPhone OS 3.0 will support OpenGL ES v2.0.
- There are various references of “ChinaBrick” in iPhone OS 3.0 which might be a reference to the low-end 3G iPhone without Wi-Fi which we had heard about last week for the Chinese market.
- The video recording feature will be available only in Apple's next generation iPhone and not in current iPhones.
The screenshot from iPhone OS 3.0 shows an area where you should be able to playback videos that you had recorded.
The remaining screenshots show some more settings options and an accessibility entry.

The other minor but nice feature is the settings option to show remaining battery power in percentage (in addition to the battery bar) which is currently possible only if you have jailbroken your iPhone.
As always, let us know what you think in the comments section below.
Thanks Egypt for the tip.

Nice, I can't decide whether to get the new iPhone or a MacBook :-S
the heading says, voice recording feature.. isnt it video recording???
Voice and Video recording.
But yes, the title only states voice.
cant you jail break yur phone and make it record video already?
Yup, it should have been video recording feature.
We have corrected the title of the post. Thanks for pointing it out.
We have already seen the user interface of the video recording feature:
http://www.iphonehacks.com/2009/04/new-iphone-iphone-os-30-reveals-user-interface-of-video-recording-feature.html
The screenshot above is the interface where you will be able to see and playback the recorded videos.
There are jailbreak apps such as Cycorder which allows users to record video on current iPhones.
However, the camera on the iPhone is not a video camera so the videos are created by stitching photos taken as fast as possible.
It's not the real deal but its quite decent.
I used to have my phone jailbroken but then I restored it using firmware 2.2 and did not jailbreak it again. Everything is just like how it was when I took it out of the box….except I can still touch my battery icon and it will switch to percentage mode. I don't know how this happened but it's pretty cool.
get a macbook.
You're lucky!
do you have a screenshot of what appears when you click on the 'voice control' feature?
Honestly, the pictures look doctored.
Thanks for the info…did not know it did that behind the scenes.
Yeah, this looks very dodgy, these dudes are just doing this in order to get hits on their site.
Guys, my iPhone is Jailbroken and that's the whole fun of it, but to lie and bring to users inaccurate info, that's not correct.
