iPhone App to Track Deadly Swine Flu Outbreak Coming Soon to the iPhone

A few days ago when World Health Organization (WHO) director general warned of a Swine flu pandemic by raising the alert to levels 5, folks at IntuApps don't want iPhone users to be left out. They have submitted an iPhone app aptly called Swine Flu Tracker to track Swine flu to App Store for approval.
The rate at which Swine flu is spreading across the world is alarming so if you are a globe trotter and paranoid about the situation then you will definitely find this iPhone app useful.
The ‘Swine Flu Tracker’ app, which is pending an App store approval includes the following features:
1. Displays an updated WHO alert level on Swine flu.
WHO maintains different threat levels for diseases that affect animal and humans. The alert levels are released in order to ensure that there is a universal understanding of the level of threat.

2. Shows various locations, where the swine flu has either been confirmed or reported.
The app makes use of Google map and pin-points locations across the globe of cases that have been reported or confirmed, in order to make people aware of the areas where the swine flu cases exist.

3. Breaking News on the pandemic
This section as the name suggests is meant to cover all the latest news related to Swine Flu. An extremely handy way be aware of the coverage on this pandemic.

Agreed, the iPhone app has been built to capitalize on the disease, but barring the commercial drive behind it, I think the app is a cool way to keep track of the deadly outbreak.
Considering the current global scenario where boundaries keep getting thinner, it’s all the more important to know what’s affecting the world.
A perfect example of why its important to be aware – A group of students from New Zealand who were on a three week trip to Mexico got infected by Swine Flu and hence, triggering a National Alert in new Zealand.
It will be interesting to see if this app will be available for FREE. We'll keep you posted as soon as its available on the App Store so stay tuned here at iPhone Hacks.
Please let us know what's your take on this iPhone app in the comment section. Do you plan to use the app when it's available on the App store?
