After Verizon, Microsoft Now Makes Fun of Apple in New Humor Video

Microsoft Mobile Dev video makes fun of Apple App Store

Perhaps the best indication of a company's success is the amount of ridicule it receives from its competitors.

A day after Apple posted results from its most profitable quarter ever, the Microsoft mobile development team has released a humorous video poking fun at the Apple app store

The video posted on YouTube talks about the apps that were developed in the Microsoft Apps Lab but had to be rejected for various reasons like stupidity or lawsuits. The joke is clearly on the Apple App Store for both the availability of a number of meaningless apps as well for the closed nature of the app approval process.

This is the second time in less than a week that a company has tried to take a dig at Apple in order to promote their product. Earlier this week, Verizon launched its new ad campaign, DroidDoes that was aimed at promoting the soon-to-be-launched Motorola Droid as a better alternative to the iPhone - Everything iPhone Doesn't, Droid Does.

On a similar vein, the new Microsoft humor video, while poking fun at the Apple App Store tries to promote the new Windows App development platform. Viewers watching the video on Youtube are directed to MobileThisDeveloper.com website where the developers are encouraged to submit their apps to the Windows Marketplace.

While we cannot comment on how big or useful the Windows Marketplace will grow to be, the ad still shows the funny side of the apps on the Apple App Store.

  9. tigger and Pooh says:

Seriously, if you found this site, then you can find the Dev-Team or iClarified. You can use blackra1n, but you will kill your ability to unlock, which, even if you don't need it, it makes the device more valuable on the open market. BTW newer 3GS' cant be jailbroken or unlocked so consider the future value. If you have a Mac (or access to one) then the Dev-Team's Pwnage tool would be a good way to go. Blackra1n works fine, but you must update thru iTunes to 3.1.x first, and that kills the unlock potential. I ran 3.0.1 up untill a week ago for the stability, and I can say 3.1.2 is fine and I have no issues to report. I have a 3GS… Hope this helps!

my bad. I wanted to say that I need to unlock not only jailbreak.
