Popular Marvel Comics Now Available on the iPhone

Popular Marvel Comics nw available on iPhone

The Astonishing X-Men, Marvel Zombies and Captain America are all coming to the iPhone.

Folks at MacWorld are reporting that the popular Marvel comics shall now be available from several of the popular comics apps on the iPhone.

iPhone apps like Comics, iVerse and Panelfly have for long been offering iPhone users an access to several free as well as paid comics. While a majority of the indie publishers offer free comics, there are several comics that can also be purchased via the in-app store. Marvel Comics too shall be available via an in-app purchase.

MacWorld reports that while the Marvel comics are available at a price of $2 per issue on Comics and iVerse, it is available at a cheaper $1 per issue on Panelfly. At present, these are available only inside USA. We hope that changes soon however since Marvel comics are known to be popular internationally. Also, with Marvel now on the iPhone, we hope it is only a matter of time before DC Comics too foray into the iPhone user segment and that could present an exciting basket of choices for those iPhone users who love comics.

We are sure many of you are fans of Marvel as well. However at a price of $2 per issue, do you still think Marvel has got the pricing right? Would it have made better sense to offer a subscription model? Please tell us your opinion in the comments.
