AT&T Puts Refurbished iPhones On Sale: $49 Onwards

Refurbished iPhones coming at discounted rates

Are you done shopping for the holidays yet?

If not, here is a chance to get an iPhone at a good deal. AT&T is now offering refurbished iPhones at a nice discounted price that is too good to resist.

The refurbished iPhones on offer at the AT&T website are all those pre-owned units that were returned during the 30-day trial period. However AT&T says that these handsets have been completely refurbished, tested and reflashed with the latest software which essentially means a 'just-like-new' iPhone at a discounted price.

Both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS are on sale and come at a price of $49 for 16GB and $149 for 32GB. These devices, as is obvious, still require you to sign up for the two year contract period. However, with free overnight shipping, zero activation charge, the standard 90 day warranty and 30 day no-risk return policy in place, it makes a lot of sense to go for these iPhones

However, do check out availability in your area. The 16GB black model is currently out of stock from where we see. If you are interested, click here to visit AT&T's online refurbished cell phone store.

Anyone know if the refurb 3GS still have the old (24kpwn-vulnerable) bootrom? This could be a good way to get jailbreakable 3GSs.

  2. Wes says:

Umm…all devices are jailbreakable. So no point in that

  3. Brian says:

Pricing is not correct – 49 for 8GB 3G, 99 for 16GB 3G, 149 for 16GB 3GS, and 249 for 32GB 3GS…basically refurbished deal is 50 dollars off retail price. Still not a bad deal, but article is definitely wrong on the prices.

  4. Dane says:

I ordered the 16GB 3GS yesterday for $49. The article reports it accurately. You have to be ready for upgrade pricing or a new customer.

  5. emdot says:

yeah ur listed prices are definatly wrong….. i still have the 3G and as soon as i read this i instantly went to the website to order my $49 dollar black 3gs, however that is not the case…. oh well! ill stick to my 3g for now. with all negative things going on with apple/iphone im not renewing my contract until i see some changes being made. if nothing changes ill be switching over to verizon. between the shitty service, and the nazi iphone rules im not too impressed right about now.

ps- i was pretty much the biggest apple fanboy (3 ipods, 2 iphones, ipod touch, macbook pro and mac mini) but as of late, im pretty disgusted)

  6. brembo says:

hey dane, i cant seem to be able to find an option to order the 16g 4gs for $50? are you positive you got the 3gs?? send me a link if possible, id like to get one

  7. brembo says:

yeah man thats incorrect, the $49 ones are for the 3G not the 3GS

    3GS
    »16GB »32GB
    $149.00 – $249.00

    3G
    »8GB »16GB
    $49.00 – $99.00

  8. Maxxx says:

    Yeah your prices aren't correct.

  9. rah says:

The Price was only good the 27th and 28th of Nov

  10. MTW says:

Yes, price was Thurs and Fri only. I procrastinated and on Saturday the price was back to $149 :(

  11. Todd Johnson says:

For anyone you bought an iPhone 3gs (on a new account)in this offer, did you get charged the $36 activation fee? According to the article, they weren't charging that, but I got charged the $36 activation fee.
