Just hours before Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad last week, Engadget published a few pictures of what they thought could be the real Apple tablet.
Folks at Apple Insider have revisited the photos and claim that the iPhone in the picture could be a prototype of the next generation iPhone launching later this year
While the pictures are not of very high quality (actually that's an understatement), they still give some interesting insights into what the next iPhone could be like. Apple Insider makes two interesting observations
1. The aluminium bezel of the iPhone is not visible. This could probably mean that it might be replaced by an all black bezel.
2. A circular blotch is visible near the earpiece grill. This could be an indication of a front facing camera.
Considering that the picture is not of great quality, these observations need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
There are already speculations about Apple's in-house processing chip "A4" making its way into the iPhone. As Steve Jobs claims, this "system on a chip" consumes considerably less power which means that the next generation iPhone could perform significantly faster without compromising on the battery life of the device.
Having said that, it is still too early to speculate on what to expect on iPhone 4G. However, the launch of the iPad has given us significant hints on the technology that Apple is banking on for the future and which could soon trickle down from the iPad to smaller devices like the iPhone and iPod touch.

Looks like the "black bezel" could be nothing more than an Agent 18 style case; hard, black and shiny. I hope Apple comes to it's senses and puts in a forward facing camera, but frankly, removing the Flash embargo would be much more helpful and useful on a daily basis. As far as the iPad goes, I think Google might have a better idea with its tablet device. Guaranteed to have Flash, camera and many of the things the iPad won't. We will see.

Common guys that's not a black bezel, it's a blackcase , the "camera" looks more like a piece of flint, and if apple where to put a camera on the front screen of the iPhone it wouldn't be visible, just like the light senseor and Bluetooth sensor, Im guessing that someone had jailbroked there phone with blackrain, It died. And their trying to boot it hahah

Ipad is a cool concept, but way over priced. I will not purchase Ipad nor the next Iphone. I feel kinda screwed by Apple.
