iPhone 3.1.3 Released: Improves Accuracy of iPhone 3GS Battery Level, Fixes iPhone Apps Launching Issue [Updated]

Apple has just released iPhone OS 3.1.3.

According to the release notes iPhone OS 3.1.3 includes number of bug fixes and improvements such as the issue with third party iPhone apps that would not launch in some instances and improves accuracy of reported battery life on iPhone 3GS.

You can download and install the latest version of iPhone OS via iTunes.

iPhone OS 3.1.3 includes the following fixes and improvements:

  • Improves accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS 
  • Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some instances 
  • Fixes bug that may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard

iPhone 3.1.3 Software Released

iPhone OS 3.1.3 is available for all iPhone and iPod Touch models.

If you have jailbroken and/or unlocked your iPhone then it would be a good idea to wait for iPhone Dev Team or Geohot to provide an update on how the latest iPhone OS impacts a jailbroken/unlocked iPhone as you could end up bricking your iPhone.

iPhone OS 3.1.3 (7E18) also updates the baseband firmware, so if users who have software unlocked your iPhone should avoid it.
