iTunes 9.0.3 Released: Includes Important Bug Fixes

iTunes 9

Apple has just released iTunes 9.0.3, which according to the release notes includes number of important bug fixes.

It is available via Apple Software update and is 98.03 MB in size. The latest update fixes the annoying bug where iTunes used to ignore the "Remember password for purchases" setting.

According to the release notes, iTunes 9.0.3 includes number of important bug fixes such as:

• iTunes no longer ignores your "Remember password for purchases" setting.
• Addresses problems with syncing some Smart Playlists and Podcasts with iPod.
• Resolves a problem recognizing when iPod is connected.
• Addresses issues that affect stability and performance.

As you might know, Apple released iTunes 9 back in September, which was a major update that included many new features and improvements such as:

• An improved look and feel, including a new Column Browser for easily browsing your artists or albums, movies, TV shows, and more.

• iTunes Store has a brand new look, with improved navigation for quick and easy exploration.

• iTunes LP and iTunes Extras create unique experiences that feature exclusive interviews, videos, photos, and more — available with select album and movie purchases on the iTunes Store.

• Home Sharing helps you manage your family's iTunes collection between computers in your home. iTunes can automatically transfer new purchases, or you can choose just the items you want.

• Genius Mixes are created for you by iTunes and play songs from your library that go great together.

• iPod and iPhone syncing now allows you to organize your iPhone and iPod touch home screens directly in iTunes. Syncing is now also more flexible, allowing you to sync individual artists, genres, or TV show and Podcast episodes.

• iTunes U items are now organized into their own section in your iTunes library.

• Sync with iPod nano (5th generation), iPod classic (Fall 2009), and iPod touch (Fall 2009).

• iTunes 9 also includes many other improvements, such as HE-AAC encoding and playback, more flexibility with Smart Playlists rules, simpler organization of your media files inside an iTunes Media folder, and more.

You can download iTunes 9.0.3 from this link or via Apple Software update.

Please don’t forget to let us know how it goes.

I don't know what you mean by corrupted, but my library becomes unusable every time I sync. Fingers crossed.

does this fix the issue of sorting the applications as i set them… and not move them to where it wants to every time i sync my iphone… freakin frustrating cuz i have to reorganize the apps everytime i sync… and i am always adding new apps so this happens like 2-3 times a week.

  11. a_urena@hotmail.com says:

Hey guys i install it yesterday but i got an error message, i can download it but it won't install. Is it because i have windows 7?

  12. TimW says:

    Seconded!! ;-)
too many sites ignore their comments sections any many questions get abusive responses, at least here they usually get some kind of workable answer.

@eone. Have you tried SpringSorter (think that's it's name) on Cydia? Also, Five Column Springboard (free-Cydia) interferes with iTunes app organiser and refuses to allow app placement re-arrangement by iTunes sync. Message on iTunes says FCSB installed, this feature unavailable. HTH

  13. TimW says:

Win 7 works fine for me, try re-downloading/ installing

  14. skyler says:

  15. luke says:

i have recently been given an iphone without its original simcard. it has operated fine with my simcard but recently when i updated it on itunes it attempted to restore but would not do it without the original simcard.
i then jailbroke into it using redsn0w and when the iphone is rebooting with itunes 9.0.3 there is an error 13.
    can anyone help please!
