Last month, the iPhone Dev Team had released the beta version of Redsn0w 0.9.5 software that allowed users to jailbreak iPhone OS 4.0.
The iPhone Dev team has now released a new version of the tool to jailbreak the latest beta version of iPhone OS 4.0 - iPhone OS 4.0 Beta 4 that was seeded to developers last week.
However, as we had reported earlier, the tool is not meant for everyone. The latest version of RedSn0w is targeted only at the jailbreak app developers and is not meant for regular iPhone users. The Dev Team had noted last month that the beta release allows jailbroken app developers to fix "broken" pieces of code in their applications ahead of the public release of iPhone OS 4.0.
MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team announced the release of the latest beta version of RedSn0w 0.9.5 on Twitter:
"More than halfway til Apple's official 4.0! Good time to update redsn0w for developers of JB apps. Just like beta1 JB, for JB devs only...redsn0w 0.9.5b4 updated for beta4. Mostly useful only to JB app devs to get things in order for 4.0."
Here are a few points to note if you are a developer of jailbroken iPhone apps:
- The latest Redsn0w jailbreak tool is only works on iPhone 3G.
- This beta version does not perform hactivation. Users will require an Apple UDID to get past the activation screen.
- Redsn0w 0.9.5 beta 4 works only on Mac OS X and does not have a Windows version of the software.
- Do NOT use Redsn0w if you have unlocked your iPhone. This is because iPhone OS 4.0 beta 4 contains a baseband update, which cannot be software unlocked currently.

What the F**k that is …..,,,,,,,now everybody who have mistakenly upgraded has jailbreaked with spirit now the main issue is the unlocking software . so release of redsnow jailbreak is valueless for old customres. ?????? UNLOKING for 3.1.3 ?????
We will let you know whenever the tool to unlock iPhone OS 3.1.3 is released. I don't see the point of spamming each post with the same question to which we really don't have an answer at this point.

Judging by the way you type, it's apparent that you are illiterate and cannot read either. There is nothing in the article that says anything about firmware 3.1.3. It does, however, mention firmware 4.0 a total of 8 times. It's also nobody's fault but your own that you decided to upgrade to firmware 3.1.3 when it was well known that an unlock was not and probably would not ever be released for 3.1.3. So I think I speak for everyone when I say, "Dumbass."

It is pretty annoying, that i am not able to install many apps due to my old OS version.
I do only have a PC, so i can not use pwnage tool for mac.

Just to let you know if you want to dish someone like that you should probably look at your grammar it isn't "jailbreaked" it is "jailbroken".
I jailbroke my wifes iphone 3gs with spirit and then unlocked it with ultrasn0w. It worked just fine.
