Are you waiting for the white iPhone 4 model? As we had reported it looks like you’ll have to wait until second half of July to get one.
Apple has just announced that the new white iPhone 4 will be available only in the second half of July as they’re more challenging to manufacture than expected.
When Apple started taking iPhone 4 pre-orders last week, the new white iPhone 4 model, which comes with a white front panel for the first time was not available for pre-order.
At that time bob, one of our readers had informed us that he had pre-ordered a white iPhone model at Best Buy but got a call from them informing him that the white iPhone won't be available until July 24th.
Apple has just confirmed the news in today’s statement:
White models of Apple's new iPhone® 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.
Are you planning to wait that long to buy one? Or you're going to just buy the black iPhone 4?

I'm waiting for the white one. There is nothing really too "wow" about the new iPhone (since I already have all the features with a JB one) so I'll just wait for a least a nice eye catching white phone. Plus I have only ever gotten the white version anyway.

Good, I hope everyone waits for the white one, and hopefully when I get in line at 5 am tomorrow by the apple store here, there will be no one else there because they all either home-pre-ordered or want a white one.
Yeah I'm going to wait for the white one. I wasn't to excited to get one any more when I heard all they had was black. I'd rather wait. The white one looks so much better. Black is to normal everyone gets the black one.

I will see my local O2 shop tomorrow and see if i can get one since 3 drop down from launch tomorrow so ill go hunting for a black iphone 4 from 8am
exactly why I don't want it
i have been waiting for the white one since i first saw the pics thats the one i want or think i want. I want to see it in person first and then i will decide whether i like the white or black better for right now im going for the white one and bumper to avoid scratches
is this 100% confirmed? I read reports that walmart will have the white iphone and they say they do on their website?
and now AT&T is sold out and Best Buy might not be selling it on release day either??

Hi, can you tell me – in your o2 store, do they have demo ip4's on display?
If so, have you tried any? I have in my local o2 store, and i'm a bit alarmed by some features on their demo phones..
For instance, the signal bars are maxed out ALL the time – they just dont fluctuate, even when you turn 3G on and off!
No way can i induce the antenna problems either.
And then i noticed you cant enter carrier settings in the network/cellular data tab!
Just wondered if you noticed any of this yourself? I'm thinking the o2 demo models have the signal bars 'painted' on lmao.
Update – i;ve been back since i composed this, and two of their phones now a blue hazy type smudge effect on their screens, not good.
I fell in love with my white 3GS so I will be waiting for the white ip4 to come out………. Impatiently, to boot
