Comex has just released the most eagerly awaited tool to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

JailbreakMe does not hactivate your iPhone, so your iPhone should be activated via iTunes first. You can checkout this article to hactivate your iPhone without an official iPhone carrier SIM or simply borrow your friends official iPhone SIM to activate your iPhone.

JailbreakMe does not unlock your iPhone. You can install Ultrasn0w to unlock iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. iPhone 4 users need to wait for some more time as iPhone Dev Team is working on it.

Some users are reporting missing pixels issue.
All you need to do is visit JailbreakMe.com on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad’s Mobile Safari browser and swipe on the ‘slide to jailbreak’ button and wait for the process to complete to jailbreak it. You will see the following screens during the entire process.
Yup, I'm not kidding, it’s really that simple. I just tried it out and it works like a charm.
We thought Spirit was an easy to jailbreak an iPhone but JailbreakMe is even easier. Kudos to Comex and team for all the hard work in releasing the tool.

If you want to unlock your iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G then you need to first jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4 or iOS 4.0.1 using JailbreakMe and then install Ultrasn0w 0.93 to unlock your iPhone.

Comex has fixed the MMS and FaceTime issue. So if you are using JailbreakMe for the first time then you should not face the MMS and FaceTime issues as Comex has included the fix in JailbreakMe. If you hit the issue after installing JailbreakMe then open Cydia and upgrade when prompted. If FaceTime is missing then you might have to enable it via the Settings app (Settings -> Phone -> Enable FaceTime toggle)

Comex has released a new version of JailbreakMe that should fix the issue jailbreaking iPad on iOS 3.2.1.

Very easy, just done my iPhone 4 in seconds and then popped upstairs and did the wifes 3GS, didn't even have to bring it down and plug it in.
This is amazing!
works great on my 3gs new boot rom BUT….on reboot it will seem like it is booting as normal but then the apple logo will get the scroll wheel and loss of pixels and then it will take you to the lock screen as normal. Nothing really to worry about just the fact that it doesnt really do a normal boot up for me.

All you have to do is:
-Make a backup
-Jailbreak your phone
-Restore from your backup
-Reboot
And everything should works.

How long does it take for the jailbreak to happen? Its been 5 mins and the status bar hasn't moved on mine.
worked fine on my 3gs.
weird updating from spirit 3.1.3 to 4.01.
even before i JB 4.01, most my cracked apps and cydia apps appeared and worked. only cydia app missing was cydia itself (until i JBed it)
noticing alot of cydia tweaks dont work on 4.01. five row/columns. might downgrade back to 3.1.3 til most cydia apps are updated for 4.01

After jailbreaking with this tool, will the current UltraSnow unlock a 3gs with a new bootroom or do I have to wait for the new version of Ultrasnow?
On 3GS. Progress bar went to full. Waited 10 mins and nothing happened. I closed out of safari. Saw cydia. It works fine. Restarted the the phone. Still working as of right now. Just to confirm though, I didn't get the "sucessfully jailbroken" screen. Phone still working ok.

Worked fine but installed SBSettings which is without a doubt worth JB for, but this screwed up the cellular settings now no carrier having to do a full restore

OH My Gosh. It's amazing!
I just jailbroke Iphone4 running 4.0.1. Everything works FINE except the Apps were thrown all over the available windows. When I try to sync the apps from iTunes (which is correct), it doesn't change the way the apps appear on the iphone. If I change location for apps on the iphone device and then sync, there is no change to the app position (itunes shows it one way, the iphone4 shows it another way).

plus i have mms, not sure about facetime tho. nobody to facetime with (hurr durr, so i dont really care, there'll be a fix on cydia soon and nobody i know will suddenly get an iphone 4 between now and then)

Approach with caution, the JB deleted all of my Celular Data Settings and MMS settings, obviouly hasn't happened to everyone but just be careful, going into my Settings, just returns me to the springboard…. am searching for a solution at the moment, but give it a few days until all the bugs are ironed out..
Facetime and MMS only seems to disappear after you restart phone. Hopefully they will have a fix ASAP. Restored it back to normal as a result.
Other then that I was using it on 4.0.1 just fine and was excited to have my iPhone Jailbroken again!
