Apple has started shipping fourth generation iPod Touch, which it had unveiled at the September 1 special event.
Apple had started taking pre-orders for the new iPod Touch from September 1st.
Some users are reporting that they have started receiving shipment notifications, which have delivery date as September 10th, while for others users it seems to be next Tuesday, September 14th.
The fourth generation iPod Touch comes with Retina display, FaceTime, HD video recording, A4 processor and lot more.
According to Apple’s website, the fourth generation iPod Touch will be shipped in one week if you order one now.

Folks at 9to5Mac have noticed in the FCC teardown photos that the iPod Touch 4G contains a motor that will allow it to vibrate, which will be useful for the FaceTime feature.
Apple has described the functionality of the feature in the iPod Touch accessibility page:
If somebody wants to start a video call with you, you’ll receive an invitation -- along with a vibrating alert -- on your iPod touch asking you to join. Simply tap Accept, and the video call begins.
