If you were waiting for Apple to launch the white iPhone 4 then there is no point in waiting for it.
Reuters reports that Apple will be delaying the launch of white iPhone 4 once again and this time until next spring.
When Apple launched iPhone 4, we were told that it would be arriving in two color options – Black and White. While the black iPhone has been launched and is now fairly common, there is no sign of the white iPhone, which was supposed to be here by the second half of July initially.
Back then, Apple had issued the following statement:
"White models of Apple's new iPhone 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected."
Apple later announced that the availability of the iPhone 4 would be delayed to “later this year”.
Apple spokesperson told Reuters today that it will be delaying the release of the white iPhone 4 once again, this time until next spring.
Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller told Reuters:
"We're sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again"
However, Muller has not provided the reason for the delay.
We have heard several speculations for the delay. Some industry observers had indicated potential quality control issues arising due to the white coloring on the front glass panel of iPhone 4 – while some others observed that the “Antennagate” issue that plagued the iPhone 4 was the reason for the delay.
It was also speculated that the reason for the delay was due to the back light leaking out through the edges of the glass to the back casing of the device.
According to an insider who was spotted with the white iPhone 4, the shade of white on the home button of the phone isn't matching with that of the rest of the front panel. Apparently Apple's suppliers haven't been able to resolve the issue, which has resulted in the delay.
Have you been delaying your iPhone 4 purchase because you always wanted one in white? I guess with today’s announcement Apple has probably made that decision very easy for you. Don’t wait, buy the shiny new black iPhone 4.

Any one care now? By time the White one Is out iPhone 5 will be too..and no doubt the White version of that will also be delayed,,until iPhone 6 is around the corner
I guess I'll just keep my 3gs and wait for the iPhone 5…

Too funny, sorry for all those waiting for the white iPhone 4. I've been enjoying mine for almost 4 months.

wow you still hold on your 3G? I know I couldn't wait anymore… I bought the 4 and honestly I really don't when (or if) I'll ever update! The 4 is that good compared to the 3G!!

I don't understand why this seems so hard to accomplish. Apple is making me feel like I'm being toyed with. Kind of like a super model flirting with computer geek for fun.
