Apple is expected to unveil iPad 2 at a special media event on Wednesday.
Based on the rumors and speculations that we’ve heard so far it looks like iPad 2 will be thinner, lighter, get a faster processor, more RAM and a front facing camera for FaceTime – Apple’s video calling feature and if the photo of what folks at 9 to 5 Mac claim is the front panel of iPad 2 is to be believed then it looks like the 2nd generation iPad may also come in white.

Yes folks, it looks like the new iPad could come in white. That seems strange since Apple could not pull off an iPhone 4 with a white front, but I’m sure they figured out a way. Also, one of the reasons for the black frame that surrounds most of Apple’s displays is that it presents the image better visually. However, this image above, seems to refute all of that.
As you can see, the front panel also has a hole for the front-facing camera. When Apple launched iPhone 4 last year, we were told that it would be arriving in two color options – black and white but the white iPhone 4 has been delayed until Spring this year so take this rumor with a grain of salt.
But we have recently heard that an unknown Japanese company had developed a new paint material that will allow Apple to finally release the long-awaited white iPhone 4.
So it is possible that Apple will release a white iPad 2 as well (assuming that the issues would be the same for the iPad). Would you want one?

I wonder why Apple strayed from the stainless steel look? I have thought for some time now that the very first iPhone was the best looking one. What is so cool about white? I don’t get it, I guess.

I don’t get it either. As long as it does all the things i need it to do, what difference does colour make? I’m happy with black. I prefer the stainless look tonthe 3g and 3gs, but much prefer the iphone 4 look!
What would be the craziest thing would be that the back of the iPad be Glass. Imagine that flaw or they would say it’s even stronger then the iPhone 4 glass.
WTF? Why don’t you figure out what you’re trying to say, and then write it out. Read it back to yourself to hear if it makes sense, then edit. You may have to take third grade again if you keep writing like this.

nah, another marketing technique from apple to build the hype. when iphone 4 is out, they say the white iphone is coming and they delayed and delayed. giving bullshit like like leaks and stuff. so if a iphone with such a small screen would leak lights. what u think about ipad? it will leak even more. i just hope they fix the light issue they claim on the iphone 4 before jumping to something bigger.
