Celeste: Jailbreak App Allows iPhone, iPad And iPod Touch Users To Transfer Files To Any Device Via Bluetooth

Celeste Bluetooth File Transfer

iPhone comes with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology but it only support the Bluetooth Headset Profile, A2DP and Bluetooth Hands-free Profile 1.5. iPhone users still can’t transfer files between iOS devices or any other Bluetooth device, which is the most commonly requested application in the Bluetooth stack.

CocoaNuts has released a jailbreak app called Celeste Bluetooth File Transfer that will allow jailbroken iPhone users to transfer files to other Bluetooth devices.

Here’s the description of the jailbreak app:

Celeste brings the long-awaited missing feature to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Send and receive songs, photos, contacts, and more. Celeste works with any Bluetooth transfer-capable device, and integrates perfectly with your built-in iOS applications.

Just like magic.

You can check out the demo video of the iPhone app in action below:

Celeste is compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.3. Celeste is available on Cydia for $7.99 (apparently a 3 day launch sale), which we felt was expensive.

We’ve seen jailbreak apps like iBluetooth for iOS 2.x/iBueNova for iOS 3.x that have previously brought this missing feature to jailbroken iPhone.

Update:

The apps seems to be quite buggy so please avoid buying it. Thanks everyone for the feedback.
