iAndroid – Android Simulator For iPhone [Jailbreak App]

iOS 5

Android has been ported to the iPhone, and jailbreak apps like Bootlace have made it easier to install the ported Android OS on a jailbroken iPhone to experience Google’s mobile operating system. But unfortunately they’re only available for iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G users.

A new jailbreak app called iAndroid has recently been released, which simulates Android on a jailbroken iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.x.x.

iAndroid works like a native iPhone app that can be launched from iPhone's homescreen, which simulates the look and feel of Android OS. Since it is not a port, you won’t be able to download apps from the Android Market etc. But iAndroid comes with a few pre-installed apps such as Facebook, Web browser, Camera app, Twitter and the Phone app that work quite well.

You can checkout the cool demo video of iAndroid below:

If you’re curious to checkout the Android experience then install iAndroid for free from Cydia. It should also work on the iPod Touch running iOS 4.x.x.

Let us know what you think about iAndroid in the comments.

Downloaded it out of morbid curiosity. Not worth the 7mb. Nuff said.

Now only if we could remove iOS, unlock iphone on android.

Its like running windows on a mac.

  4. mustafa says:

how about the apps are they free ?

  5. Pacomac says:

How can you use the word “port” and “simulate” in the same sentence? If it’s a port then it’s native and no longer a simulation!

    • James says:

      ummmm.
do you know what the word ‘port’ means? port is to ‘take to’ and simulate….
      okay dude has a point!

bit of a tautology hey. nicely spotted. lol

  6. bdub says:

I’ve never posted on this site even though I’ve been a reader for about a year and will prob never post again. I can’t help notice how retarded the comments are on a regular basis and how rarely they offer anything useful. good day.

ps. this simulator is useful just to show off for shits and giggles, other than that its useless.

  9. Angel says:

I think that if you really like Android you would have bought an android phone, and at a lower price. I paid more to get iOS wich it’s for me nicer and more intuitive. And with JB I have nothing more to ask.

  10. Morgan says:

When I attempted to download, it wouldnt let me. It gave me some error. Anyone else having this problem? Also this is great! It just needs the android market, and it would be good to go.

  11. Rick says:

I installed it no problem on my iPhone 4 and iPod touch 3 both running iOS 4.2.1. I finally updated them to 4.3.3 yesterday, and re jb’ed them, now I can’t get iAndroid to install on either 1. It keeps pulling the same errors. Subprocess dpkg deb retrned an error exit status 2 and one other

  13. Flash000 says:

Tested it… it does work on iPod Touch 4G, was running 4.3.1 at the time… worked great!

  14. Joe says:
