Although T-mobile isn't an official carrier of the iPhone in the US, it has a million iPhone users in its kitty.
This is despite iPhone's lack of support for T-Mobile’s 3G data network and unavailability of Micro SIM cards. To solve the micro-SIM problem users had to trim their SIM cards so that the card could fit in the iPhone 4 SIM tray.
Well not any longer, T-mobile has started offering Micro SIM cards, which is specifically targeted at iPhone users. Not surprising considering that Apple had officially started selling factory unlocked iPhones in the U.S. The promotion text for the Micro SIM card says:
"Already have a GSM phone or iPhone that you need to activate—or have an unlocked GSM phone you want to use on the T-Mobile network? Just get a Micro SIM card and choose a plan. Slip the ready-to-use Micro SIM Card into your phone and you’re ready to go."
You get the Micro SIM card for free with a two year contract or you can buy it for $9.99 from T-Mobile stores or T-Mobile's website.
T-Mobile users may also get some love from Apple later this year as we’ve heard rumors that iPhone 5 will support T-Mobile USA’s AWS 3G/4G bands.
