Are you sick of the sound of Marimba or the default tones available on your iPhone, when the iPhone alarm wakes you up in the morning? Do you want to be woken up by your favorite song?
Then checkout PlayAwake – a jailbreak app that allows you to select any song from the iPod app as the alarm tone.
Here’s a quick description of the jailbreak app:
Use iPod music as alarm clock sound! Just pick a track from your device’s Music Library from inside the default alarm clock app and you will wake up listening to your favorite song!
This tweak fully integrates in the default Clock app!
Please note that PlayAwake does not install an icon on your iPhone’s home screen, but you will be able to select the song from your iPhone’s music library directly via the Clock app as the alarm as you can see in the screenshots below:
It’s a nifty little tweak that works as advertised, but it is too expensive for $1.99, especially since there are quite a few free apps like Alarm Clock Free (iTunes link) or paid apps like Alarm Clock Pro (iTunes link) available in the App Store that cost only $0.99, which include this feature. The only downside of these App Store apps is that you must remember to leave them running in the foreground for this feature to work.
As always, let us know if you found this jailbreak tweak useful in the comments.
