Leaked Internal Memo Reveals Best Buy Is Expecting Sprint iPhone 5 In The 1st Week Of October

iPhone 5

We've heard rumors that Apple's iPhone 5 may be also coming to Sprint and T-Mobile USA - the third and the fourth largest carrier in the US respectively.

To add more fuel to the fire, BGR has just reported that they've got hold of an internal memo, which reveals that even Best Buy is anticipating iPhone 5 on Sprint's network.

We must highlight that it is very much possible that BestBuy is expecting it based on the same rumors that we've heard.

BGR reports:

Thanks to a leaked document from a Best Buy source, we have discovered that Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores are anticipating taking preorders for the iPhone 5 starting in the first week of October. What’s a tad bit more interesting, however, is the mention (and further anticipation) that Sprint will be carrying the iPhone 5 at launch.

BGR later updated the post to say:

Our source clarified that it’s actually possible presales will be starting this week with the phone arriving in the first week of October, not preorders starting in October.

Best Buy also warns that the product launch or dates are subject to change.

Last week, Sprint had sent an internal memo to its employees telling them: "Do not Speculate about Sprint Getting the iPhone.", which is being perceived by some as a positive indication that Spring is finally getting the iPhone.

Application usage logs have revealed that Apple is testing a dual-mode iPhone 5 running iOS 5, so it remains to be seen if iPhone 5 will also support Sprint's CDMA network.

Will you switch to Sprint from AT&T or Verizon if it really ends up getting iPhone 5?

I had sprint years ago, and they take every opportunity to rape you every month. So no, I wouldn’t be interested in switching.

Where I live sprint has the best coverage. I had them for almost 6 years and I can’t say I ever remember dropping a call. Their customer service was shitty. If I can get an iPhone5 on the sprint network that works at least as well as the AT&T network and an umlimited data plan, cause you know the newest carriers to get iPhone will almost undoubtedly offer that to get people to switch, then I’ll happily take the crappy customer service over the iron fist of AT&T.
