NowListening Adds Banner Notifications For Music App In iOS 5

If you listen to music in shuffle mode then you may like this new custom widget for iOS 5 Notification Center.

NowListening as the name suggests adds banner notification for the Music app in iOS 5.

After installing the NowListening custom widget, a banner notification will appear whenever a new song starts playing, which is quite neat if you can't recollect the name or artist of the song. Tapping on the banner notification will open the Music app.

The custom widget works only with the Music app currently and it doesn't work with any other third party Music apps.

You can checkout some of the screenshots with the banner notifications for new songs below:

You can download NowListening for free from Cydia. As always, let us know what you think of NowListening in the comments.

but I have a very good command of the songs in my music library. I can tell the name of song less than 3 seconds when I am listening. LOL

I dig this app. I too know most of the songs in my library but still a nice effect. I wonder if it’s possible to tie it into last.fm or Pandora however along with the cover art in the banner. Now that my friend would be nice. ;)
