iPhone 4S Coming to Brazil, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, South Africa, Malaysia, Philippines on Dec 16th

Apple has been slowly rolling out its new iPhone more and more countries.

Many carriers in Brazil, Russia, and Saudi Arabia (among others) have marked down December 16th on their calendars.

After Apple’s first few offerings to other countries, they’ve been very low-key about subsequent availabilities of the iPhone 4S.

Carriers and retail partners, on the other hand, have taken over to generate more local awareness to boost sales. The Brazilian carrier Claro has an ad up on their website pointing to December 16th. Russian retailer Digital.ru has followed suit.

MacRumors has a short list of countries that are advertising upcoming iPhone 4S availability:

  • Brazil
  • Malaysia
  • Philippines
  • Russia
  • Saudi Arabia
  • South Africa
  • Taiwan

It remains to be seen when Apple will launch iPhone 4S in China, the world’s largest mobile phone market, where we hear Apple has cleared one of the final hurdles to launch their new iPhone.

    Haha I feel sorry for China! I just got my unlocked 4S a few days ago (I’m in the US) and it shipped from China… Ironic isn’t it?

    I’m from South Africa and I’ve already pre-registered for one. I am just so bummed that it is on the 16th of December since that is the day we fly off on holiday to Durban. Was really hoping to have the phone before we go so that I could get it synced up with iTunes and the like.
    But happy that it is finally getting here!

    I have been told by two carriers in Israel that it will come here in the course of January. In the meantime you can’t buy an iPhone in Israel from carriers and only the 4s will be available.

    China manufacture all the iPhones but they end-up getting the it last? but overall I’m glad Malaysia finally getting the iPhone 4S this upcoming 16th December 🙂

    It is ridiculous to share with you oil your country, in turn, sold the technical to you also!! nothing get shared only softwere hehee
