This might sound a bit familiar if you've been closely following the Apple rumor mill for the past few months: A Chinese case manufacturer has started selling cases for the "iPad 2S," which it believes would the name of the next-generation iPad.
According to the design of these cases, the "iPad 2S" would borrow its looks largely from the iPad 2. The only difference in terms of looks would apparently be the iPad 2S' extra 1mm thickness, probably to accommodate the Retina display.
The manufacturers seem to have gotten wind of the design, the same way they got wind of the iPhone 5 design - through Apple's supply chain sources, and we all know how that turned out to be.

But this time around, a lot of rumors seem to agree to an unchanged iPad 3 design, with upgraded internals. Moreover, news of cases like these going on sale comes right after Bloomberg's reports which says the iPad 3 has gone into production phase.
Also, case manufacturers would be a lot more cautious of relying on supply chain sources after the "iPhone 5" debacle. Or, at least that's what we hope.
Rumors till now suggest Apple would be unveiling the iPad 3 (or the iPad 2S) in the February-March time frame with a Retina display, a quad-core chip and LTE support.
What's your judgement on the "iPad 2S" cases?

Lol why create cases for something that is not announced do people actually buy cases weeks before they are able to buy the actual product? It doesn’t make sense!
Why am I reading this Rumor????? WTF
i would not buy another exact same device with an s on the end again
I think they are wrong about the retina display being the only thing that has changed. Wouldn’t smaller pixels be thinner anyway?
weren’t these people so sure that Apple was going to come out with an iPhone 5 that they made cases for the leaked cases shown out there? lol 2nd time is the charm? oh wait…
