How to Change Siri Mic Color Using Jailbreak Tweak

It has been less than 24 hours since the jailbreak dream released Absinthe and CLI to jailbreak iPhone 4S and we've already started seeing tweaks for jailbroken iPhone 4S.

We wrote about VoiceUtils, which was the first jailbreak tweak for Siri that adds custom commands to Siri.

A new jailbreak tweak called Siri Mic Colors has just been released in Cydia that allows you to change the color of Siri's microphone.

After the jailbreak tweak is installed from Cydia, you can change the color of Siri's microphone via Winterboard. You can either choose to change the color of Siri's microphone to Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow or select Siri Mic Colors, which changes the color of the microphone depending on how loud you speak. It's looks quite cool.

Siri Mic Colors tweak is available on Cydia for free.

You can install it by following these simple steps:

  • Launch Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone 4S
  • Tap on the Manage tab
  • Tap on Sources
  • Then tap on Edit and then the Add button
  • Here enter the URL of the repo - http://repo.technetec.com
  • After it is successfully installed, search for Siri Mic Colors via the Search tab
  • Select Siri Mic Colors from the search results
  • Tap on Install and then the Confirm button

You should now be able to change the color of Siri's microphone via Winterboard -> Select Themes -> Yellow Siri Mic Colors, Siri Mic Colors etc.

Check out the video of the jailbreak tweak in action below:

As always, let us know what you think of the jailbreak tweak in the comments.

What theme is that in the YouTube video?

  5. Jose C says:

Does this work for spire on iPhone 4?

  6. Mediascapenorth says:

Yes this works with spire. In fact I can confirm everything so far that tweaks Siri works fine. Spur and Siri are almost identical so no worries.

  7. I don’t like the fact that you have to use Winterboard to take advantage of this tweak. Also, would be a lot more fun if you didn’t have to install a different package for each different color you want to try out. Will be passing on this one until a better alternative comes along.
