You can download ChatON for free using this App Store link. Unfortunately, the app seems to be available only in the U.S. App Store.

So click on the App Store link to check if it is available in your country and don't forget to let us know in the comments.

Another messenger? And it DOESN’T include BlackBerry or win? Wast of Time. Everybody’s using whatsapp now.. and others Kik. There’s no room for a third one that is missing a huge chunck of the market’s phones.

    • Kimk69 says:

Yeah really, another messenger app that doesn’t include PC’s. With so many better options out there.

    • Kwopau says:

Don’t forget Kakaotalk. I don’t use Whatsapp or even kik. Most of my friends uses Kakaotalk as their main texting app.

  11. jc84 says:

sigh, it is not supported on my xoom android. yet is supported on my ipad. oh its phone number based :( app. I agree see too many Viber, tango, whatsapp. facebook messenger and google plus are the better 2 options for multidevice and cross platform chat.

  12. Damen says:

why not just use Kik, so far that’s the best “IM” app in real time.

Too many chat apps out there right now and Kik has been in development for a long time that’s also cross-platform.

  13. Alfroggy says:

France has it. Do tha alternatives have this drawn message I first hear of here ?

  14. Richie says:

Apple should remove this App rom the App Store because #1 Samsung is CRAP #2 Samsung is always trying to copy and diss Apple every chance they get. #3 Samsung just made themselves look like idiots for putting something like this out especially with there rival. #4 Apple would never go into the Android Market and release an App. #5 SORRY and this is the truth, samsung will NEVER beat Apple, thats why Apple has more sales, better apps/games and better designs/look!

    SHAME ON YOU SAMSUNG

  15. Dipen says:

Who cares samsung is for cheapos who can’t afford a proper phone like an iPhone why would anyone download samsung messenger they don’t know n e thing about software just look at their smart tv the software is rubbish but as they are the only ones with a proper smart tv they have most of the Market until apple comes and shows them how to do it properly

  16. Ken says:

    Available in Singapore

  17. For Pete's sake says:

@ Riche… They can’t remove it just because Samsung and Apple don’t get along… Anti-Trust laws will not allow it.

…and all platforms in all countries support SMS, why not just use that like everyone else? Unlimited Texting is built right into plans these days and we have iMessage and FaceTime and Skype.

  18. fas says:

    Samsung wants to be everywhere.

  19. Kraken says:

What is the allure of these 50+ messaging apps? We have had the instantaneous and less restrictive transfer of text/pictures/audio/video via email for 40 years; and it also happens to be free and supported on any device with internet access. Even dumbphones can communicate to email if you use google voice. Why do people pay 20 cents for a text or get apps that cost money or are covered in ads to do the same thing?

  20. Andy says:

Still not available in UK.. Any ideas when or how?
