Adobe accidentally released Photoshop Touch for the iPad 2 (one of six new apps) in several App Stores today morning, but has since removed the app. It was expected to be launched tomorrow, February 27th.
Back in October 2011, Adobe had announced plans to introduce six new apps for tablets like the iPad that will allow users to easily and elegantly design and edit their content.
According to Adobe, Photoshop Touch will "lets users transform images with core Photoshop features in an app custom-built for tablets. With simple finger gestures, users can combine multiple photos into layered images, make popular edits and apply professional effects."
Adobe Photoshop Touch includes the following features:
- Use popular Photoshop features designed for the tablet such as layers, selection tools, adjustments, and filters to create mind-blowing images.
- Use your iPad camera to fill an area on a layer with the unique camera fill feature.
- Select part of an image to extract by scribbling with the Scribble Selection tool. With Refine Edge, use your fingertip to capture even hard-to-select image elements, like hair, with ease.
- Search and acquire images with the integrated Google Image Search.
- Share images on Facebook and view comments right within the app.
- Browse an inspirational gallery for the styles and results you'd like to achieve. Then follow step-by-step tutorials to easily learn techniques the pros use for great-looking results.
- Use AirPrint for wireless printing of Photoshop Touch projects.
- Upload projects to Adobe Creative Cloud and open layered files from Adobe Photoshop Touch in Photoshop CS5.
- Maximum image resolution: 1600 x 1600 pixels
Adobe Photoshop Touch will be available for $9.99 and will be compatible with only iPad 2.
Adobe also plans to release 5 new Adobe Touch apps, which include:
Collage: helps creatives capture and refine ideas and concepts by allowing them to combine inspirational images, drawings, text and Creative Suite files into modern, conceptual mood boards.
Debut: allows users to present designs to clients and stakeholders virtually anywhere.
Ideas: is an easy-to-master, vector-based tool for drawing.
Kuler: makes it easy to generate color themes that can inspire any design project.
Proto: enables the development of interactive wireframes and prototypes for websites and mobile apps on a tablet.
We'll let you know as soon as it is available in the App Store.

As a photographer I’m looking to having more options to edit photos in the iPad! Would be awesome to be able to work with layers there!
This should be available for the iPhone too.
Long been available for android tablets, all these titles.
