Apple’s WWDC 2012 Keynote to be Held on June 11 at 10 AM Pacific

As expected, Apple has just announced that WorldWide Developer Conference 2012 Keynote will be held on June 11 at 10:00 am Pacific time.

The Loop also reports that Apple has also started sending invitations to the media for the event.

Apple hasn’t mentioned who will be giving the keynote speech, but we expect Tim Cook to give it this year. Apple is widely expected to give us a sneak peak at iOS 6 – the next generation mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and also give a preview of OS X Mountain Lion.

It remains to be seen if Apple will also unveil the next generation MacBook Pros, which are rumored to come with Retina Displays.

Apple has also released theĀ free WWDC iOS app (App Store link), which gives attendees easy access to the Conference schedule, help them plan their week and also keep in touch with the latest news from the Conference. The tickets for the WWDC were sold out in less than 2 hours this year.

We can’t wait to see what Apple has in store for us at this year’s keynote. As always, we’ll be live blogging the event.

This is my prediction. Apple will unveil iOS 6 and talk about Mountain Lion, possibly release something that we haven’t seen in the dev. preview yet. Apple will give updates to iCloud as we have already seen hints at this on iCloud’s beta site. From there, I doubt we will see any new hardware as WWDC is meant for software, however, when the new iPhone is released they will release a new iPod Touch for it is way overdue. As for this Macbook Pro rumor, there is a SLIGHT possibility we will see this at WWDC but most likely later in the

Apple has announced the new iPhone hardware at each WWDC keynote since the first iPhone. Why do you all expect a change now?

That is correct however the last iphone (4s) was not because at the time there was not a new iphone ready because as has been leaked steve jobs did not like the then design of what the iphone 5 should have been. Iphone 4 had to be adapted have an updated CPU and a BETA release of siri just to be able to release any iphone last year. However yes the WWDC is the traditional time to hear about the new iphone so who knows maybe but then again its not been so long since the 4s so either way apple will tread carefully so as not to upset 4s users while not waiting to long to release the new Iphone
