iPad Mini May Be Produced in Brazil; To Include 3G Capabilities

Japanese blog Macotakara reports that the rumored iPad mini will be manufactured in Brazil and Apple will be ramping up production starting in September.

It is widely speculated that Apple will launch a smaller and cheaper iPad later this year to compete with cheaper Android-based tablets like Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7 that was unveiled last week.

Macotakara reports:

According to Chinese reliable source, the tablet called iPad mini will be produced in Brazil, however production test to collect data for new cutting machine is already done in Chinan

Source said that, production phase of this tablet will be started since September, and this tablet should be shipped until holiday season, but announcement will not be so soon. 

Macotakara claims that according to their source, the iPad mini will be as thin as the iPod touch and will include 3G capabilities.
