New Photos Compare iPhone 5 With iPhone 4 And iPhone 3GS

According to leaked parts and rumors, the next generation iPhone is expected to come with a taller display and thinner than iPhone 4S/iPhone 4.

Folks at repair firm – iColorOS have managed to get their hands on the leaked parts of the new iPhone and have assembled it.

They’ve published comparison photos of the fully assembled ‘iPhone 5‘ with an iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. It gives a good idea on the comparative thickness and height of the three devices.

According to rumors, Apple is planning to use in-cell display technology in the next generation iPhone. The technology integrates touch sensors into the LCD, which eliminates the need of a separate touch screen layer. The absence of a separate touch screen layer will not only help make the screen thinner, but should also improve the quality of displayed images.

It must also be noted that even though the next iPhone comes with a taller 4-inch display, Apple appears to have managed to minimize the overall increase in the height of the new iPhone by shrinking the top and bottom margins.
