iPhone 5 Vs iPhone 4S Camera: Video Quality Comparison

iPhone 5 Camera

iPhone 5 comes with improved video recording capabilities. While the back-facing iSight camera allows you to record 1080p videos like iPhone 4S, the front-facing camera has been upgraded to allow you to record HD video (720p) up to 30 frames per second.

It also comes with improved image stabalization to prevent shaky videos.

iPhone 5 also comes with three microphones — one on the front, one on the back and one of the bottom of the device. The new microphones with improved noise cancellation and wideband audio should further enhance video recording capabilities.

With the launch of iPhone 5 yesterday, we’ve seen quite a few videos on YouTube comparing iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S video recording capabilities. We’ve embedded two of the best comparison videos we’ve seen so far.

This video by YouTube user f1ipzid3 shows a side-by-side comparison between iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S’ video recording capabilities.

Folks at TechBuffalo have also posted a neat side-by-side comparison video:

Yawn looks nice… But how often do I use it… Rarely… Even at an event unless I’m right in front it’s useless… Yes I’m an iPhone 5 owner.
