Nokia Fan Creates Samsung Inspired iPhone 5 vs Lumia 920 Ad

You probably heard by now (or probably have seen it), Samsung ran this iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S III newspaper ad on Sunday.

The newspaper ad with tag line “It doesn’t take a genius” compared iPhone 5 specs and features with Samsung’s Android-based Galaxy smartphone.

As you would expect with a competitive chart that is not designed by a third-party, Samsung listed down Galaxy S III’s software features  such as ShareShot, tilt to zoom, shake to update etc. (virtually every feature) and conveniently left out iOS features, which generated a ton of comments.

A Nokia fan didn’t want to miss out on the fun, so he has created his version of the ad (via RedmondPie) with a tag line “Flyweight contender, meet the heavyweight champion.” comparing iPhone 5 with Nokia Lumia 920, which is expected to be launched later this year.

Apple fans have also hit back back by creating their own versions of the ad. Here’s one of them (via BusinessInsider) with the tag line “Don’t settle for cheap plastic.” and listing down some of the major features of iPhone 5 minus the extra features listed by Samsung.

    There will be an iPhone 5s (or whatever letter they pick) to compete with newer phones and piss off iPhone 5 owners. The iPhone 5 is slightly better than phones that been out for months. I’m quite disappointed.

    cheap plastic??? So what, iPhone has a fancier material that you will probably end up puting it in a sleeve or case anyways… so what’s the point?

    who ever did the pro apple one did a really bad job. SG III has most of the stuff that they listed on the Apple only side. Think it would’ve been better and smarter to just do one where you show that Apple similar versions of what is on the Samsung only side…

    And really putting Panorama on the Apple only side is a dumb. Android has had that on all phones for almost a year now. Hell I had a Sony W810 in 2007 that had Panorama.

    As far as I know, the iPhone 5 only sports a dual core processor, not a quad core.

      true, but the iPhone will be faster and smoother because iOS works better. Android software does not work smooth. Apple can get away with a smaller processor and still have a faster phone.

    agree.. the iPhone 5 mockup was poorly done.. no quad-core and touting things like “all new maps” and panorama.. this is nothing new on Android i’m sure. Comparing Apple’s 700,000 apps to Google’s 500,000 or so would have been more appropriate. iOS and the quality of the apps is what keeps me with Apple, also Apple’s camera is far more superior, especially with the amount of quality camera apps on iOS.

    don’t take a genus to figure out samsungs threatened by iPhone :) … you might fool the apple haters… but youll never fool someone that had both product… android should be considered a semi smart phone cause a real smart phones not goin malfunction on you when you need it… I have the s3 and I’m proud to say I’m done with android for good :) can’t wait till my iPhone come in so I can get rid of this semi smart phone

      Sorry but the best one is Lumia 920 : try wp8 and you’ll never get back to IOS : I have an Iphone 5 too btw
